Scientifically Supported Instruction
Road to Decode® integrates scientifically backed processes into every aspect of our program. It is backed by science, teachers, and students.
Explicit and SystematicÂ
The Road to Decode provides explicit, step-by-step phonics instruction, teaching students the relationship between sounds and letters in a clear, organized way. The program uses a planned sequence, ensuring students build on previous skills effectively.

Use of Decodable Texts
We utilize decodable texts that are perfectly aligned with the phonics skills being taught. These texts are designed to match each student’s current level, allowing them to practice newly learned skills in context. This approach promotes reading fluency and ensures that students can confidently apply their decoding abilities.

Multisensory Learning Techniques
Our program incorporates multisensory methods that engage visual, auditory, and kinesthetic pathways. By integrating techniques such as air writing, kinesthetic activities, and sound production practice, we reinforce sound-symbol relationships, helping students retain and apply their phonics skills effectively.

Orthographic Mapping
Our program incorporates strategies for orthographic mapping, where students learn to connect the sounds in spoken words to their written forms. This process is crucial for developing sight word recognition, enabling students to read fluently and with greater accuracy. By focusing on orthographic mapping, The Road to Decode helps students store and retrieve words more efficiently.Â

Scaffolded Instruction
Road to Decode incorporates scaffolded instruction, where teachers gradually release responsibility to students. Educators model reading strategies and skills, then provide guided practice with feedback before allowing students to practice independently. This approach supports students at their current level while gradually building their confidence and competence.

Ongoing Assessment and Differentiation
Our program emphasizes regular assessment and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of all learners. By continuously monitoring student progress, we tailor instruction to provide additional support where needed, ensuring that each child progresses at an appropriate pace and receives targeted interventions when necessary.
